She’s the founder, visionary, and radical creator behind Semmelmann Interiors, a couture design firm based in Fort Worth known for turning homes into works of art and stories into spaces you can feel.

Her signature approach to design is focused on creating the unknown, blending natural ease with high-end luxury to create a look that’s elevated, effortless, and deeply personal. But for Susan, design is about more than creating beautiful spaces- t’s a calling. A way to love and serve others through purpose-filled creativity.

That purpose became even clearer after walking through her husband’s battle with bone cancer- a journey that shaped her mission and deepened her resolve to use design as a force for good. Through her namesake nonprofit, The Susan Semmelmann Foundation, she helps families in need furnish their homes, bringing dignity and comfort to life’s most difficult seasons.

Susan is also a sought-after speaker, sharing her insights on design, creativity, purpose, relationships, and hope as she invites people into the story behind her work and the faith that fuels it. She has spoken at meaningful events like the Puttin’ On The Pink Cancer Benefit, A Wish With Wings, and many others that align with her mission.

Beyond the stage, Susan remains devoted to causes close to her heart, lending her support to the American Heart Association, A Wish With Wings, National Angels, St. Jude, Cook Children’s, the Alzheimer’s Association, Raquel’s Wings for Life, and many other organizations that fund cancer research and care for families walking a similar path.

In just six years, Susan has led Semmelmann Interiors to design more than $500 million in luxury homes while integrating philanthropy and service into the fabric of the business. She now leads a team of 30+, designing homes for Fortune 100 CEOs, public figures, and families building legacy homes of their own. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Luxe Magazine, and beyond.

Along the way, her impact hasn’t gone unnoticed. Susan has received 16 ASID Design Excellence Awards, been named Entrepreneur of the Year by EOE, and led her firm to be honored as Best Interior Design Firm in Dallas/Fort Worth four years running. Semmelmann Interiors was also named Best Companies to Work For in 2024- a reflection of the culture of generosity and excellence she’s built from the inside out.

She’s also the founder of Fort Worth Design Studio, Fort Worth Drapery, and the Susan Semmelmann Couture Collection, and is working on her seventh designer show house for charity—proving time and again that success is sweetest when it serves something bigger. Married to her best friend and the proud mom of three extraordinary children, Susan starts every day with a grateful heart. When she’s not designing, she’s mentoring women, cheering on her team, or enjoying the little things- a good latte, a glass of wine, and the people she loves most.
